The resumption of work and production has made smooth progress in companies at ports along the Yangtze River in Jiangsu Province, according to the Pilotage Center of the Yangtze River Maritime Safety Administration.
Among the progress, New Times Shipbuilding delivered the 325,000-ton VLOC to South Korean owner and Keepel (Nantong) Shipyard exported to Singapore marine engineering modules worth of about 410 million yuan.
The center handled 4,328 vessels on international routes or for foreign trade in June, up 21 percent compared to last year. In the month, it piloted 5,890 ships with an accumulated 104 million gross tons and over a total journey of 776,000 kilometers, up 11 percent, 11 percent, and 9 percent year on year, respectively.
In the first half of the year, the center piloted a total of 29,567 vessels from China and abroad, with 550 million gross tons and a total journey of 3.83 million kilometers, carrying the cargo of 213 million tons.
