On July 13, the Jiangsu committee for deepening overall reform held the 13th meeting to study the spirit of a speech by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, at the 14th meeting of the central committee for deepening overall reform.
The Jiangsu committee for deepening overall reform also deliberated the reform plans including suggestions on strengthening rural governance and making countryside more civilized, made new decisions about reform work in the meeting, chaired by Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Committee.
Strengthening rural governance and making countryside more civilized is an important task of implementing the rural revitalization strategy in Jiangsu. In accordance with the development of “Three Rural Issues,” which refer to agriculture, rural areas and farmers, and rural-urban structural changes, the province will focus efforts on existing loopholes and actively blaze a trail for effective rural governance with Jiangsu characteristics.
The meeting noted that development of rural public infrastructure, an important facilitator for rural revitalization, needs to become a priority, and more efforts will be made to build a high-quality management and maintenance model consistent with local conditions and farmer’s expectations in Jiangsu. Meanwhile, the province will increase efforts to guarantee the food security, improve management of grain reserves, get specific in various tasks, ensure responsibilities are fully assumed by all those involved, and do a good job in the endeavor.
