Russian President Vladimir Putin said on the same day that the 20th century will be a period of consolidation of Russia’s economic sovereignty, RIA Novosti reported on June 6.
In a welcome telegram to guests of the 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Putin said, according to the report, “For Russia, the 1920s will become a period of consolidating economic sovereignty, which requires accelerating the development of our infrastructure and technological base, improving the training of professionals and forming an independent and efficient financial system.”
At the same time, Putin said that the Russian economy will increasingly rely on the initiative of the private sector, upholding the approach of openness and broad international cooperation.
